The Association of PUA graduates was founded on September 26, 1998 and has been working for 11 years in a close contact with the Laboratory of Career Planning.

Every year the Association works out their plan, holds graduate reunions, regularly publishes Almanac of Graduates, organizes graduates participation in all kinds of events.

Among a wide variety of forms of cooperation with graduates most valuable, in our opinion, are feedback forms and assistance in new graduates employment. Suffice to say that each fifth vacancy of those offered to the Laboratory of Career Planning comes from graduates with ny now well established career positions. We've finished collecting the data base of large teams or “nests” of graduates, formed on a number of enterprises. Thus, our data base includes more than 20 enterprises where groups of 3-4 PUA graduates work. “Nests of Graduates”.

 

We can analyze the tendencies of our graduates career advancement on the material of the data base “Graduate”, where we store the information of both initial employment and further career promotion of more than 1000 graduates of PUA. Our graduates work in large companies and enterprises in Kharkov, Ukraine, in foreign countries. On the whole the analysis reveals that competitive potential of the PUA graduates at the labour market is considerably increased by such factors as extensive education, double specialization, course training and refresher courses, other forms of updating professional skills. That's why life-long education is becoming a natural demand of modern person and mechanism of his/her survival in the information age. It determines new adequate approaches to any activity. Following the principle of life-long education in our Academy we've developed and actively use “the system of graduates career guidance” that should help the PUA graduates to gain a stable position at the labour market and realize their aspirations.

The Association

  1. General terms.

The Association of of the university graduates is set up with the purpose of joining efforts and personal abilities for:

  1. preserving and developing contacts of garaduates with the higher educational establishment and between one another;
  2. forming the spirit of corporativity, mutual help and cooperation;
  3. keeping up and improving the public image of the higher educational establishment, multiplying its academic and cultural traditions;
  4. active participation of graduates in realization of the PUA development projects.

 

  1. Forms of activity.
  2. Annual meetings, festivals of graduates, leasure events.
  3. Participation in most significant and traditional events at the PUA, charity actions.
  4. Forming the data base “The Graduate”, gathering and sharing information concerning most important events in the life of the graduates, their professional advancement.
  5. Holding sociological research aimed at analyzing the graduates career promotion and factors making for it.

 

  1. Organisational basis of the Association activity.
  2. Current activity is directed by a board consisting of a chairman, a vice-chairman and members of the board, who keep in touch with graduates of a certain graduation year.
  3. The Board meetings are held at least once two months each.
  4. Financial support of the Association activity is provided by voluntary contributions of its members.

Representatives of each graduation year are delegated as members of the board.

  1. Establishing and extending contacts, sharing work experience with Associations of Graduates of higher educational establishments in Ukraine, and foreign countries.
  2. Assistance in developing the graduates professioanl competence, recruiting them to various forms of extended, post-graduate education at the PUA.
  3. Organizing participation of the graduates in teaching and learning activities, holding trainings, giving practical and special courses with the purpose of intensifying the practical aspect of students learning.
  4. Annual publication of “The Graduate Almanac”.
  5. Providing assistance in employment, students practical training.
